A.F. Smith Electric was selected to complete the electrical requirements to power and light the giant Tiffany & Co. Christmas Ornament, now on display for the holidays at Somerset Mall in Troy. The ornament was manufactured in pieces in Europe and then shipped here in several sections.
To make the task extra tricky, not only did the ornament have to be assembled, but the wiring code was European. European wire coding meant the color codes and methods had to be interpreted and accommodated for by the team.
Our two-man crew worked with the customer's crew from 8 p.m. until 5:30 a.m. to get the ornament assembled, wired and powered up. Tiffany & Co. was very happy with the results and the value the A. F. Smith Electric team provided!
